AC repair in Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Allen and The Colony

A North Texas summer does not leave room for a slow AC company. We answer the phone, get to you the same day whenever the schedule allows, and tell you what the fix costs before any work starts. If the system is worth fixing, we fix it. If it is not, we say so and show you the math.

Most summer breakdowns are small parts under heavy load: a capacitor, a contactor, a clogged drain line tripping the float switch. We stock those on the truck so the first visit is usually the only visit.

Signs you need this

  • Air blowing but not cold, or the outdoor unit humming without the fan spinning
  • Ice on the copper lines or the indoor coil
  • Water around the indoor unit or a full drain pan
  • Short cycling, the system starting and stopping every few minutes
  • Breaker tripping when the AC kicks on
  • A burning smell or a loud buzz at the outdoor unit

What is included

  • Full-system diagnostic, indoor and outdoor, with readings you can see
  • A written price for the repair before we start
  • Common parts on the truck: capacitors, contactors, fan motors, drain fittings
  • Refrigerant leak search when pressures point to a leak, not a blind top-off
  • Two-year parts and labor warranty on the repair

Questions we get asked

Should I turn the system off while I wait?

If you see ice on the lines or the indoor coil, yes. Set the thermostat to off and the fan to on so the ice melts before we arrive. Running an iced system can damage the compressor.

Will you just add refrigerant?

Not without finding the leak. A system that needs refrigerant has a leak, and a top-off without a leak search is money spent on the same problem next month. We find it, quote the repair, and then charge the system.

How fast can you get here?

Same day is the goal every day, and Blackland Club members go to the front of the line in peak season. Text us your address and symptoms and we will give you a real window, not a four-hour guess.

Do you work on my brand?

Yes. Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Amana, Rheem, Ruud, Daikin, York, Bryant and the rest. Builder-grade systems in newer Frisco and McKinney homes are a large share of what we see.
