Named for the ground under your house
Frisco, The Colony, McKinney, Plano and Allen all sit on the Blackland Prairie, a band of deep black clay that swells when it rains and shrinks when it does not. Every homeowner here knows what that does to a foundation. Fewer know what it does to the HVAC: framing shifts, flex duct connections pull loose, plenums crack, and attic systems drift out of level a little more every year.
We started Blackland because the companies growing fastest around here are the ones selling the most systems, and a lot of those systems are sold to homeowners who needed a repair and a duct test. We wanted a company where the technician earns the same on either answer, where the prices are on the website, and where a second opinion is free.
What we promise, and what backs it up
- Published prices
- Diagnostic, tune-up, membership and common repair prices go on this site the day we open. The technician quotes from the same book.
- No commission
- Technicians are paid for the work, not for the ticket. There is no bonus for selling a replacement.
- 2-year repair warranty
- Parts and labor on every repair. Lifetime on repairs for members.
- Licensed before we open
- Texas requires a contractor license assigned to the company before any air conditioning work can be offered, and we will not take a call until ours is. William D. Mota holds TDLR technician credential 142601. Insurance binds the day the license is assigned.
- Free second opinions
- Send us any replacement quote and we will tell you in writing whether it is fair and whether a repair would do the job.
- Repair first
- We do not sell or install new systems yet, so nobody here has a reason to sell you one. If yours is past repair we say so in writing and refer a licensed installer we trust.
